Brighten Up The Night With A Petzl Headlamp
Although headlamps might not be quite as attractive an item when considering family camping gear as an all weather jacket or maybe that newest mummy bag , but they still can be a fantastic add to your list.
This was made very clear to me during one of our recent family camping outings. We got there late and began to set up camp. As you might imagine, trying to hook up sewer hoses and extension cords to the travel trailer at night one handed wasn’t easy to do. There was a lot of frustration and swear words muttered.
When we got home an ad for Petzl headlamps came to my attention. That’s exactly what I need I thought. You know, for those late night tasks or maintenance. No hands required just simply place the headlamp on your own head, tighten up the straps to secure it into position and you’re all set to go. Now both hands are free to make connections or vehicle repairs.
It was no time at all and I had completely researched all of their product line to find out which model would work best for me. I had to be not very heavy, simple for me to use and with a range of lighting options for various instances. What I discovered was that their products have a veritable wealth of functions beginning with light bulb and lens combos, battery types, brightness levels , floodlights, flashing beacon lights and a lot more.
It also occurred to me that a Petzl headlamp would be fabulous for those instances at home when our power went out or I needed to work on our car. No more fallen gear and no more trying to get somebody to handle the light for me. That’s a lot of fun when your helper holding onto the flashlight isn’t able to keep still.
You may want to check out camping headlamps yourself. They could be the answer for you as well.
