What floor types should my Steam Pocket Mop be used on?

The Steam Pocket? Mop can be used on all sealed hard floor surfaces – including sealed hardwood, linoleum, ceramic tile, or marble and other stone floors. Note that we do not suggest use of this product on unsealed surfaces, such as unfinished hardwood, unglazed ceramic floors, or unsealed stone floors.

On surfaces that have been treated with wax or some no wax floors, the sheen may be removed by the heat and steam action. We recommend testing an isolated area of the surface to be cleaned before proceeding.

We recommend that you check the use and care instructions from the floor manufacturer.

Is It advisable to add cleaning solutions to the water?

Only water must be used. For various reasons, it is better to use only waters without adding any cleaning solutions. If cleaning solutions are added, they can have a negative impact on the longivity of the steam mop’s boiler

Secondly, the additive could contain some poisonous substances that could form part of the steam and impact your health when you inhale the vapor during use.

For these reasons, do not add anything but water to the Steam Pocket Mop.

Are there any problems if I decide to use filtered water instead of distilled water?

Distilled water is what is recommended. It is known to all of us that distilled water is empty of minerals due to having under gone several purifying processes. Filtered water on the other hand is not free of minierals and harm the boiler of your steam mops boiler
